The Future Looks GOOD for Goodrich Baseball
Last weekend the Goodrich 16U boys took the Buick City Heatwave Tournament at Broome Park. After splitting on Saturday, the young-for-16U group swept through a trio of 17U teams on Sunday to take the weekend title. Every player contributed in a way that we wouldn’t have won without it.
Coaches Favorite: 0-0 game, bases loaded no outs, mound visit and pitching change. The boys had no panic in them, and executed a 1-2-3 double play (grounder to the pitcher, force out at home, force out at 1st) then got a strikeout to wiggle out of the threat. That was first thing Sunday morning. Moments like that set the tone! (B.L.N.O. situations produce at least 1 run over 85% of the time)
